       The Dylan Thomas Circle was formed in 1997  to promote  a broader appreciation of Dylan Thomas’ works in the Pacific North-West. Although centered in Vancouver BC, it is a part of the world-wide organization of Dylan Thomas societies to foster appreciation of his writings and bring together Dylan enthusiasts.
      Events include a varied program of readings, performances, guest speakers, debates, summer ‘charabanc outings’, and an evening of Christmas readings and carolling.  Membership continues to grow - there are now over 100 members of all nationalities. The Circle meets four or five times a year and the meetings are characterized by their amiability and the absence of academic rigour.
